April, 2012: Jeff Wilson recalls moments from the natural world, including a close encounter with an alpha male wolf seeing a human being for the first time. Wilson knows about being in the right place at the right time — he was there when Snow Leopards were filmed hunting for the first time and when Birds of Paradise unveiled their display dancing on the BBC's Planet Earth series, he was there when Arctic Wolves emerged from their den 300 miles south of the north pole and Adelie Penguins were stealing rocks from one another in the Antarctic's Ross Sea — in fact he has made a living being in the right place at the right time in over 50 countries , and in the process documented some of the most extraordinary wildlife behaviours ever filmed over the last 10 years as a BBC wildlife filmmaker.
