Garrett Brown invented the Oscar-winning  Steadicam® stabilizer and used it on nearly 100 movies beginning with ‘Rocky’.  His Skycam®, Mobycam and Divecam still pursue athletes worldwide and in ’09 chased their inventor into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

A legend in Hollywood for 40 years, Garrett still lives and works in Philadelphia, venturing out around the globe to teach camera workshops and inventing seminars.

Brown is a 2013 inductee into the National Inventors Hall of Fame, but he is neither a scientist nor an engineer—just an extraordinarily motivated, at-times comically challenged, incredibly persistent human being.

Garrett Brown and Chris Fawcett are the inventors of a potentially important new mobility device, which Brown teased at EG10. Between them, Brown and Fawcett have more than 60 patents and they combined forces in 2013 to advance geriatric and re-hab mobility. For those battling age, injury and disease, their ‘Elevating Walker Chair’ elegantly bridges sitting, standing and walking. Now here, for EG12, is a first look at the joyful and startling ‘Zeen’—and a chance to take one for a spin during breaks!

Register for EG 2020.

30 April - 2 May 2020

Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to bring you a superb program for EG2020. However, in light of growing and legitimate concerns regarding the rapid spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) which have gutted international events of all sizes, we have made the difficult decision to put EG on hiatus until it is once again deemed safe.

We know how much each of you look forward to EG and we were looking forward to seeing old friends, and welcoming many new ones, but we do need to prioritize the health and safety of our attendees, presenters, and partners, especially those traveling from afar.

We will be in touch in due course with future plans.
