Wildlife Filmmaker John Aitchison on (and at) EG Conference
“I have attended a number of conferences but never anything so wonderful as EG. We have talked about little besides EG since.
The whole event was brilliantly organised and our fellow audience members were as fascinating as I had heard. The quirky artwork/photography was a delight – where else could I have had my deep desire to be a caveman revealed
to the world, then have lunch with an astronaut and a man who builds robotic flies?
Thank you for working so hard to provide us with so much inspiration.”

At EG11 (2017), John Aitchison brought us into his world, taking us closer to animals than seemed possible. John has been a wildlife filmmaker for 30 years, sometimes as a producer and mostly as a ‘long-lens’ cameraman, usually filming shy things far away, often from a blind much smaller than himself.
Part of the session entitled Big Worlds, you can watch John’s talk here.
