Renegade zoologist, intrepid explorer, and television presenter. Ross has been in love with life in all its forms for as long as he can remember. His passion started with insects and spiders, led him through university (a prize-winning degree in zoology at the University of Wales, and a PhD in insect ecology at University of Leeds), and blossomed recently in his latest book: Animal Earth. It’s a stunning book, eye-popping and ranges from the dazzlingly beautiful to the truly bizarre.
Ross has traveled extensively on at least five continents, led a BBC expedition in Burma in 2013, and has an infectious enthusiasm for things that grow.
