He quickly became fascinated by bats–their unique night–loving lifestyle, the wide variety found around the world, the economic and ecologic services they provide, and the fact that many people hated and destroyed bats indiscriminately. Rob decided to dedicate his life’s work to the protection of bats and has never looked back.
Rob founded the Organization for Bat Conservation to help protect these important animals. Over the past 20 years, he has written books, appeared on national television shows and traveled all over the United States exciting people about bats. His latest mission is to educate and inspire millions of people in North America to actively participate in the Save the Bats Campaign – a fun and simple solution to protecting bats and ensuring a healthy environment for all living creatures.
