Peter Norvig is Director of Research at Google. He led the search team at Google from 2002 to 2005, and the team at NASA that developed autonomous software for the Mars rovers from 1998 to 2001. He is the author of the leading textbook on Artificial Intelligence, and in 2011, in conjunction with Stanford University, offered an open online class for which over 100,000 students participated and over 20,000 completed all the homeworks. He is also the author of the Gettysburg Powerpoint Presentation and the world's longest palindromic sentence.
