Derek DelGaudio is a multidisciplinary artist, primarily known as a writer, performer and magician. He co-founded, along with Artist Glenn Kaino, the performance-art collective, A.BANDIT, staging public work at Art L.A. Contemporary, The Ball of Artists, Art Basel Miami, LA><ART, and at The Kitchen in New York City. As a magician, Derek is widely regarded as one of the greatest living sleight-of-hand artists and his conceptual approach to conjuring has challenged the medium itself, as noted in his The New York Times Magazine profile titled, "The Magician Who Wants to Break Magic." Derek wrote and co-starred in Nothing to Hide, a theatrical magic show. He served as the Artist in Residence for Walt Disney Imagineering. And his most recent work, In & Of Itself, an off-Broadway show Directed By Frank Oz, shattered multiple records and played to sold-out houses for an unprecedented seventeen months.
