Andr?s Segovia wrote: “I consider Eliot Fisk as one of the most brilliant, intelligent and gifted young musical artists of our times.” Of course, Eliot was Segovia’s last direct disciple. Called “the devil’s guitarist” by one critic (for his playing of Paganini), Eliot is one of the supreme classical guitar virtuosos and has played just about everything just about everywhere — in collaborations with flutist Paula Robison, violinist Ruggiero Ricci, the Juilliard String Quartet, with flamenco guitarists, castanet virtuosos, with major symphony orchestras, in logging camps, senior centers, and prisons. He has served on the faculty at the Mozarteum in Salzburg (where he teaches in 5 languages), at Yale University, and at the New England Conservatory, and recorded for EMI, DGG, Musical Heritage Society, Arabesque, Naxos, and others.
