Bob Gannon grew up on a farm in Iowa with 13 brothers and sisters. He volunteered to be a combat medic in Vietnam. Besides flying, he has his hands full growing his construction company and trading commodities on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. He is a Name at Lloyds of London. Obviously, his real passion is to explore the world with a small airplane. Four months after his first lesson in 1992, he crashed his single engine airplane, Lucky Lady, in Kenya. Eight years later he returned to the skies and spent a decade exploring 155 countries, including Iraq, where he flew in medical supplies. He has circumnavigated the globe twice, once in each direction, landing in 1200 places in 155 countries on every continent, from the North Pole to Antartica. Bob always follows his curiosity as he gallivants around the globe.
